Oklahoma Grape Grower Symposium March 16-17, 2007
PRESS RELEASE
The Lincoln County Grape Growers Association would like to extend an invitation for you to attend at our First Annual Oklahoma Grape Grower Symposium to be held in Chandler, Oklahoma on March 16th & 17th of 2007.
The purpose of the Symposium is to:
The event is being organized by the Lincoln County Grape Growers Association, which is the largest grape growers group in Oklahoma. The Lincoln County area is home to numerous vineyards and wineries, making this area the most concentrated of the entire state. There are currently over 41 licensed wineries in the state – an increase of almost 33% compared to last year’s 31 licensed wineries. Several more vineyards and wineries are in the process of establishment or are coming in to production level.
Many growers are currently 'under the radar' and are increasing at an exponential rate. Viticulture is the fastest growing sector of Agriculture in Oklahoma and has not even begun to peak.
This year is the first year of what is to become Oklahoma’s largest hopefully statewide educational event focused solely on growing grapes held annually, sure to gain momentum with each passing year.
We hope that you will support this event.
