Harvest Party at Greenfield Vineyard August 19

Here's another chance for you budding Oklahoma grape growers to get a little vineyard care lesson for free. Helping out the vineyards at harvest time is a great way to 'try on' grape vineyard management before making an investment in the business yourself. Greenfield Vineyard near Chandler, Oklahoma.

It’s that time again, our last harvest of the year.

Thanks again to those 50 of you that attended our last harvest, we had a great time. For those of you that don’t know, we picked 5.5 tons in 2 hours, then enjoyed a great homemade breakfast!

Come join the last harvest party of 2006! This is a great opportunity for families, friends and neighbors* to get together for some social time in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Get outdoors in the cool air of early morning and get some [easy] exercise.

We’ll be picking our Merlot this time. Come early on Saturday, August 19th and enjoy complimentary coffee and doughnuts at 7:30am as we discuss the harvest process. Starting at 8:00am, we will begin the picking. We’ll finish around 10:00am before it gets too hot. Then we’ll come inside to enjoy a complimentary brunch while you watch the crush from the tasting room windows or enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony. This event is free (except wine), however, reservations are required and space is very limited. This event will fill up, so reserve quickly.

We'll supply everything you need to help harvest; all you need to bring is your smile! Come enjoy our beautiful winery at crush time, truly a unique opportunity.

For information and reservations, please call us at (405) 258-0525 or e-mail us at wine@greenfieldvineyard.com

* children over 8 recommended, as sharp tools are involved!
