Enjoy Either Work or Play at an Oklahoma Winery

It is Wine Grape Harvest Festival Season in Oklahoma!

There is plenty of fun going on this weekend for Oklahoma wine lovers. The biggest event will, of course, be the 2005 Nuyaka Creek Winery Harvest Festival on Sept 17. From Noon until 7pm the public is invited to stop by the vineyard for food, fun and great wine. As usual parking and admission are free just buy a $5 souvenir wine glass and enjoy tasting a variety great Oklahoma wines.

This year Dad has a new Strawberry wine he is hoping to get some opinions on. Also, there are some grape vines for sale: Cynthiana, Merlot, Amercan Lambrusco & Leon Millot. It is very diffcult to find a nursery that will sell wine grapevines for Fall planting, so if you are wanting to plant a home vineyard... bring your truck on out to the winery. You can probably buy your vines for less than the cost of shipping them from most nurseries.

If you would prefer working on someone else's wine grape harvest than celebrating our's... Tidal School Vineyards will be having their own grape harvest event. If you are interesting in helping to harvest their Cabernet Franc grapes, just stop by their winery events pageand sign up: http://www.tidalschool.com/winery-events.htm The cost will be $25 per person.
