While you are out at the Canadian River Winery 2008 Wine Festival this weekend, be sure to stop by the Open House at Redland Juice Company Plant at 108th Street and Bryant Road in Slaughterville, Oklahoma from 10am to 6pm on Saturday, September 27, 2008.
The Redland Juice Company is located in Lexington, Oklahoma. They specialize in wholesaling several non-alcoholic, pasteurized grape juices.
All of their grape juices are unique in their quality and fresh taste. The grape juices are sweetened by the natural sugars of the grapes from which they are made, and are 100% grape juice. No water has been added to the juice during its processing. Great stuff!

Vote Yes On State Question 743 Nov 4th
Don't forget to vote this November 4th 2008.
Oklahoma State Question 743 will allow winemakers from Oklahoma and other states to once again sell their products directly to liquor stores and restaurants, with some large restrictions. Currently, wineries are limited to sales at fairs & festivals, unless they go through a liquor wholesaler. We need to remove the barriers to free trade that have been holding Oklahoma back since prohibition.
FYI - There will also be a little contest for President that is worth taking time to vote for on November 4th, 2008. Now that the government owns a huge insurance company, shouldn't universal coverage be just a little easier to implement?

Grape Crush in Vinita Sept 20-21, 2008
10 tons of Cynthiana wine grapes need to be picked and crushed. If you have ever wanted to experience a wine country grape harvest, this is your chance. Join the folks at Summerside Winery this weekend September 20 & 21, 2008 at the vineyard in Ketchum on Grand Lake.
The fun starts at 7 AM in the vineyard on both days. Wine grapes have a higher sugar level in the early morning.
Plan to crush the grapes each evening at around 6 PM. The weather is beautiful and you can experience the harvest and crush of this year’s crop. We have flex hours so come as early and stay as late as you want. It’s fun and you'll get free goodies. This is a great way to learn about the wine industry 'first hand'.
